Harmonizing human habitat with local food
Agrihoods are nothing new. For thousands of years human settlement has been in close proximity to where food has been cultivated. This pattern has only been disrupted fairly recently due to increasing commodification of food that unfortunately is wrecking havoc on human health and the environment. By designing the Agrihood at Point Roberts neighborhood around food and green space, we not only have the ability to create closed-loop systems and produce nutritious food, but we also increase our community connectivity and safety.
